He was even said to have set the terms of debate about evolution for the second half of the 20th century by one Pulitzer Prize-winning academician. Dr. Morris began his serious study of the Bible in the 1930s and authoring books in the 1940s, but it was his landmark work, co-authored with Dr. John Whitcomb, titled The Genesis Flood in 1961 that influenced generations to begin discovering the fallacies of evolution and the biblical truth of creation. With over 60 books, founding and leading the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), Dr. Morris' death in 2006 was a profound loss to millions. Great book on the local creationism. Who gives a good explanation of how the Bible itself stands behind firmly on the biblical creation, and how it is relevant, and important to our Christian faith and daily walk in life.

I've already collected at least 15 different Christian books by Dr. Henry M. Morris in the paper-printed format, and I've got his work Biblical Creationism in the paper-format too... purchased from Amazon way back in August 2009, over 2 years ago. This is one of my favorite books by Dr. Henry M. Morris, so I'm glad to now have the digital Kindle-format ebook version likewise... as well as Kindle versions of his incredibly great Creation And The Second Coming, plus The Genesis Record, and several other Kindle ebooks. I really wish Amazon would bring their prices down lower (to maybe $4.00 each) so that I could afford to re-collect all 15 of my paper-printed Morris books in my Kindle. I can't afford to re-buy every Morris book at $10 and $9 prices!I notice that you don't yet have a Kindle version of my absolute-favorite book by Dr. Henry M. Morris, The Long War Against God, so I really hope you'll offer a Kindle version of that Morris book too, as soon as possible. I'm also eager to get a Kindle version of Morris' book The Revelation Record, which is another of his great books that's not yet available in Kindle format.Although Dr. Henry M. Morris held a Ph.D. in Engineering and never got a seminary degree, he was a life-long student of the Bible, and in his long lifetime he produced a larger number of excellent Bible commentary books than most seminary-trained theologians, professors, pastors, or general-public Christian writers. He also wrote a huge number of books related to the Biblical perspective on modern science and the ages-old conflict between Creationism and pantheistic Evolutionism. I consider him to be one of the most courageous Christian writers who ever lived on this planet... taking on the entire Evolution-worshiping scientific establishment almost single-handedly. Since he broke the ground as "the father of modern Creationism," his fine example of true Christian faith and genuine Bible-belief has been emulated by at least 2 of his sons, plus Ken Ham and a considerable number of highly-educated scientists of the modern world.I consider Dr. Henry M. Dr. Morris is the preferable alternative to academia's un-enlightening world of "liberal theology." Dr. Morris has a vast knowledge of Holy Scripture and human history, but he always takes the Bible literally where it MUST be taken literally... he completely trusts the Holy Spirit of YHWH God to have revealed absolute truth about the Universe through the Holy Bible, in all matters of both history and science. Like a lot of practical-thinking engineers, Dr. Henry M. Morris has an innate talent for explaining everything in very understandable terms, and--WOW--does he have a total understanding of the Bible!I'm truly envious of the vast Bible-based wisdom acquired by the late Dr. Henry M. The book is very good its a study type book not a sit and read with TV on, its for serious Bible students with an open humble mind.

Great book - fast service - thanks!

This is an amazing story about a talented violinist who valued his faith in God more than his freedom to play violin.At first, I was just interested in this story because I had a Russian violin teacher. It became one of my favorite books because Georgy Slesarev was able to have joy in a Siberian prison camp even though he knew he could never play violin again.When I was 16, I started having Fibromyalgia and other health challenges. By the time I was 18, I was wheelchair bound. (That was also the year I was introduced to They Could Not Stop the Music.) On better days, I only had enough strength to play a couple measures of music; and on harder days, I was unable to even lift my violin bow. Georgy Slesarev's testimony, "they cannot stop the music that plays inside my heart," greatly encouraged me during the years that I had a limited ability to play violin.Ten years have passed since I first read They Could Not Stop the Music. I still consider it one of the most inspiring biographies I have read, which is why I enjoy sharing this book with others! (It is also exciting to share that God has enabled me to play violin again and even start a small orchestral group at church!)

Super confused about all the positive reviews of this book. I feel like I have lost some trust in the Amazon review system after this purchase. I have a feeling most people are just Guy-Fans and did not really objectively analyze this book. I kinda want my money back :/ Anywho - I run a Social Media Management company and I am always looking to expand my skill set and stay up-to-date with the ever evolving algorithms, advertising options, best practices for sharing content, etc. Since the book is subtitled "Power Tips for Power Users", I was under the impression that Guy (and Peg) would go deeper into the process of establishing an effective social media presence. However, the book was more of: "Hey, I'm popular - I did quirky things, you should do quirky things - maybe it will work - maybe it won't. I'm Guy! Use my company's product, because - I'm Guy!...oh, yeah, and Peg does some interesting stuff, but I'm not going to go into all those details - cause, well - I'm Guy!"Spoiler Alert! The chapter on "Getting More Followers" is barely 1 page, with two suggestions: "Share good Stuff" and "Get on a Platform Before Anyone Else"....really? Are those REALLY actionable items? How would he suggest we predict the latest platform and get on there before anyone else - and even if we did, WTF - this is NOT a strategy. Ridiculous.Finally, and maybe most notably - the print version of the book is even more useless. There are a TON of hyperlinks with no explanation - so you completely miss out on whatever was trying to be illustrated, and almost everything useful is delivered this way. Disappointed.

Don't buy the print version of this book! The ebook must be full of hyperlinks that are completely missing from the print version - they are referenced to frequently, but there is no way to access the websites as the addresses aren't even written out in the print book. Waste of money...

If you are looking for something that explains how to work effectively in social media as a whole then I would recommend Zarella's Hierarchy of Contagiousness which is a little old but has helpful ideas.

I have to tell you that the hardcopy version of 'The Art of Social Media' has proven to be a bad buy, and here's the main reasons why:1. Clearly, this book was written with Kindle in mind loaded with essential hot links to practical examples2. The links in the book version are obviously useless - the authors could have at least printed the relevant urls. This means having to Google search using each time (time consuming and frustrating)3. The main font is small and difficult to read (this would not be a problem for Kindle users who can increase magnification)4. Many of the screenshots reproduced are unreadable. The publishers made the page size far too small!5. Given that the links do not flow automatically means that the various themes are not joined up, making the read laborious and totally uninspiring. I have struggled greatly and I'm only on page 22 and I have had the book for 2 weeks!!!Sorry, Amazon but this one sucks!Amazon gave me a full refund including postage. This time Amazon rocks. Unless you are just starting in Social Media, this book is a very superficial approach. Yes, it contains some interest links to apps and online services, but that is the main benefit of the book. The rest are either obvious advice, or platform specific info that you most probably know if you have ever spent more than 5-10 hours at each one. It reads more like a collage of blog posts. Helpful as those posts may be, they lack a coherent approach or a structure, explaining elements of a social media strategy, how to move from design to implementation per platform, how to harness the power of each platform by addressing its strong points vs other platforms etc. Especially for the case of Facebook the book contained minimal -practically nil- useful advice. Tise review refers to the Kindle edition, where (at least) you can click on the links and check the proposed apps. I am sure that in case of the book, where links are mere words (!) things -without the links- would be desparate! The book reads fine and fast, and requires no more than 2-3 hours of your time. Overhyped and of little value unless its price falls to $3-$5.

I wish I had know before I purchased the book, but there is so much information missing in the print version. All the underlined words are links to more information/details that are only available in the electronic version. In other words, I feel cheated and as if I am only getting portion of the electronic version while spending more money. This is annoying and frustrating.

I was very excited to read this book because I have followed the author online and really like the subject. Unfortunately, much of the book is just a rehash of her articles and postings. She uses the same examples again and again and although she references statistics showings tens of thousands of successful businesses meeting her criteria, she only provides anecdotal evidence and minimal examples to "prove" her claims.My disappointment comes not from finding the information faulty or unhelpful, but that I wanted a much deeper discussion. This subject is at the leading edge of a massive shift in the workforce and yet the author couldn't come up with more than 200 pages. So it's less of an "indispensable guide to earning a six-figure take-home income on your own terms" and more of an overview of a handful of people who are early adopters of a new way of working.If you have not read the author's work online then I 100% recommend reading this. If you are familiar with her work then you can still read the book, but you should temper your expectations a little.

As a seasoned entrepreneur myself (I fall into the last category of annual revenues Elaine mentions), I found this book to be very inspiring! Elaine's years of expertise in interviewing really shine through. I can relate to a few of the people featured. My favorites are: the Nutritionista, property investor, ebook seller, and the author of The Morning Miracle. The first one--owner of the planner business just blew me away!I kept reading certain sections out loud to my husband. I could not put this book down! Along with the entrepreneurs she interviewed, Elaine also gives some great, true advice. She even reminds you to maintain your health while running your business. When I got to this section, I said "Off to the gym!" I took the book with me, read it while I was on the elliptical and again while walking on the treadmill. It's THAT good!This book is a great read for the aspiring entrepreneur, or those who are already in business and just need that extra push to create the kind of business and lifestyle they truly want. At the end, Elaine even has worksheets and references to encourage you to start your own business.As someone who is like a sponge that soaks up knowledge, I feel so inspired and confident that I'm on the way to propelling my own business to a million dollars!

I just purchased this same book for Tokyo and have already recommended it to all of my friends and coworkers. Can't go wrong with this one.

Started this book a few days ago & really liked the beginning. Thought it was very interesting & I liked the protagonist ( The Lawyer Matt Fielder) very much. I really enjoy books more when there is someone in the novel that I feel is a good, decent person & he was it. The story became more interesting as a team developed and started working together to help an accused who was mentally challenged to avoid the death penalty. The details of the investigation and legal proceedings were easily explained and understood. I do not like improbable theories and this was a down to earth honest writing of the NY State legal system; but the story didn't take place in NYC or Long Island; it took place way out in the AdirondackMountains in North Western NY. A very different setting for a novel that added to its enjoyment. The third night I read the book, I read straight through for about 4 hours until I couldn't see straight & it was about 5 am. It was that good that I couldn't stop; but finally did have to stop. I finished it the next night. It was an excellent read and had a good steady pace. I would have like the ending to be more detailed and expanded; It felt a little rushed and I still have some unanswered questions after it - but all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it & can definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys legal thrillers. This one is different to be sure.

I really liked the main character. I enjoyed the "friendly narrator" style (think, Morgan Freeman, Shawshank Redemption) which was used to explain legal procedures and strategies, but also offered insight into Matt's thought process.The story line involving FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) was different, and I liked that about the book as well. I would dispute that the suspect was very handsome, given his apparent affliction, which (even the book mentions) typically causes physical facial birth defects. But, I suspended disbelief on that because I found the story so interesting.Unfortunately, the "wrinkle" in the story was pretty obvious, and the culprit was not a surprise. The slapdash, quick wrap up after the reveal felt like the writer just had to end the book quickly. Too bad, because the rest of the book was a nice slow build.

This was a great read. Klempner’s style of writing was just so different than the usual lawyer-ease that most of us don’t understand. I really enjoyed it more and more as I read on. So refreshing. The ending was a real shocker! Being a witness to the law process of a Capital Crime was so interesting. Who knew what it all involved? How important is a life? As the story develops, it’s so easy to come to the same conclusion of guilt. And how wrong we all can be! It sure brought home the desperate need of “any suspect” (guilty or not) to get the best defense that is possible. Nobody could have foreseen ahead of time what the best defense was really worth and how much it would cost! At such a terrible cost to himself, Fielder gave his all – he could do no less. Twists and turns all kept me reading right to the bitter end. As I got so fully involved in the characters, I could have cried at the end. So so sad – for everybody concerned. The book was well written and very interesting – great story! Always glad to add another author’s name to my “list!”

Really good book, the characters were believable & the fast start got me hooked right away. I liked the main character alot, the lawyer trying to get away from it all, who gets called in to try to save a "slow" young man from the death penalty. The supporting cast was alot of fun, from the drunken PI, the gorgeous gay jury consultant & the townie game warden who found the bodies.I took off one star, since the main suspects family goes from one kid to three so suddenly, without any of the townies bothering to mention this fact to investigators till 1/2 way thru the book - really?Otherwise it was a good murder mystery, I really loved how it ended. I'll look for more from this author.

Joseph Klempner is a fantastic author. This is the second book by him I've read. The first was Felony Murder which was also excellent. His characters become so real I feel as though I've known them for years. And his descriptions, such as those of Flat Lake in winter, are as real as photographs in my mind. I'll read all of his books, and I feel sure that each one will leave me wanting still more.

I chose this book because I like legal thrillers. Was I disappointed? No, I learned a lot about capital punishment. The necessary steps that must be followed to insure the rights of a prisoner accused of murder in the firstDegree. You can better understand why it takes so long for the process to work. The lead character, Matt, demonstrates a strength of character that I would want inAn attorney. As McClure says, things are not always as they seem....Good read. I would recommend it for summer reading...

My second book by this author and better read but both were very very good and entertaining. A great plot and clean but good ending to a book that was very hard to put down once you get into the real "meat" somewhere about one fourth along the way. Great read and well worth your time and money. "Drawback", I figured out the real culprit with about 7 or 8 chapters to go. Don't let that tidbit of information deter you from reading this. It fun as well as informative about several legal matters that I found to be eye-opening. A definite 4 star and could have been 5 had I not figured it so soon.

This book is written as though a third person is confiding the story of a defense attorney, Matt, who is hired to defend Johnathon, a mentally handicapped young man. Jonathon is accused of brutally murdering his grandparents while they slept. The writer tells the story as a third person, who has all of the inside information. There are a few twists but I felt that the ending was somewhat predictable and a bit forced, otherwise I enjoyed the book..

I have three instant pot books but this book is the superstar.The tips and charts are particularly helpful for someone like me who is always trying to convert recipes to the Instant Pot. The book covers all of the functions of the Instant Pot and the recipes range from homemade yogurt to lamb and chickpea stew. This one is the best of them all. Author gives lots of information about using the Instant Pot (my current favorite appliance; saying a lot when there is a microwave oven in the room), as well as a bunch of interesting recipes. This is a wonderful cookbook, full of interesting yet simple to make Indian Food for your Instant Pot. Urvashi simplifies Indian Cooking and makes it easy. So far I have made her Butter Chicken, Basmati Pilau, Chicken Briyani, Punjabi Lobia Black-Eyed Peas with Spinach, garlic and ginger paste and ghee. Instructions are clear and concise and the results were all delicious.

It will be my go to cookbook as I start using my brand new instant pot. This is a very helpful book to guide those like me, who are new to the Instant pot feature of cooking.
